Led by the unforgettable voice and songs of guitarist/keyboardist David Gates, alongside the vocals and superlative writings of guitarist James Griffin, Bread scored several number one and top five singles and albums, which made them one of the most popular groups of the seventies.

For my ears, this is absolutely one of the finest best of albums ever WAXED! I had such a great time working with this amazing project in the studios, but then again, hit after hit, note after note, and of course the stellar musicianship of this incredibly missed band. Diary is such a incredible recording for this band, the lyrics really tell the story, and the singer, David Gates pours his heart out unlike ever before. It could have been a movie!
